The Botanical Series began with a simple impulse, to look more closely based on a Georgia O'Keeffe quote. Flowers and natural forms offer a kind of quiet that invites patience, and in studying them I discovered that small subjects often hold the most presence.
Rather than traditional botanical illustration, these works focus on mood, light, and form. Petals curve, edges soften, and color shifts subtly across the surface. Each piece becomes less about identifying a specific species and more about noticing the weight of a bloom, the delicacy of a stem, and the way light moves across them.
Creating these paintings is a slower process of observation and response. The subject gradually reveals itself through attention, and the finished work carries that same stillness. Viewers often describe a sense of calm when living with these pieces.
This collection includes original artwork and museum-quality giclee fine art prints.
