FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Thank you for visiting PC Adams Art.
I know purchasing art online is a very personal decision, and you may have questions before choosing a piece for your home. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions collectors ask. If you need anything further, you are always welcome to contact me directly.
Originals vs. Fine Art Prints
What is the difference between an original artwork and a print?
An original artwork is the one-of-a-kind piece created by me, Patricia Conner Adams. It is the actual painting or drawing and exists nowhere else.
A fine art print is a museum-quality reproduction (called a giclée) created from a professional high-resolution photograph of the original artwork. Prints allow collectors to enjoy the work at a different size and price point while maintaining exceptional detail and color accuracy.
Are your prints posters?
No. My prints are not posters. They are archival giclée prints produced on professional fine-art paper using pigment inks designed to last for decades without fading.
Are prints signed?
Yes. All limited edition prints are individually hand-signed and numbered by me. Open edition prints are signed on the front or back depending on the artwork and format.
Paper & Quality
What kind of paper do you use?
Prints are produced on professional museum-quality, acid-free fine art paper designed specifically for artists and galleries. The paper has a soft matte finish that closely resembles the look of the original artwork.
Will the colors match what I see on my screen?
I professionally photograph each artwork and carefully color-correct the files to match the original piece as closely as possible. However, every monitor and phone displays color slightly differently, so a small variation may occur.
Sizing & Framing
Do prints come framed?
No. Prints are sold unframed so you may select a frame that best suits your space and decor.
Do prints have a border?
Most prints include a white border to allow for matting and framing without covering the artwork. Exact dimensions are listed in the product description.
Are originals ready to hang?
Most original paintings arrive ready to hang. If special hardware or framing considerations apply, they will be noted on the artwork page.
Certificates of Authenticity
Do originals include a Certificate of Authenticity?
Yes. Every original artwork includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Are limited editions numbered?
Yes. Limited edition prints are hand-signed and numbered and include documentation of the edition.
Shipping
How are artworks packaged?
I take great care in packaging every order.
-
Prints are protected in archival sleeves and shipped in heavy-duty art mailing tubes or rigid mailers.
-
Original artworks are carefully wrapped and cushioned to ensure safe delivery.
How long will shipping take?
Most prints ship within approximately 5–10 business days.
Original artwork may take slightly longer due to careful preparation and packaging. You will receive tracking information once your order ships.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time I primarily ship within the United States. Please contact me directly if you are an international collector and I will do my best to accommodate your request.
Damage, Returns & Exchanges
What if my artwork arrives damaged?
While damage is rare, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery and include photos of the packaging and artwork. I will work with you immediately to resolve the issue.
Can I return a print?
Because prints are made to order, returns are not generally accepted. However, I want you to be happy with your purchase — please reach out and I will help whenever possible.
Are original artworks refundable?
Original artworks are considered final sale unless damage occurs in shipping.
