Pontet Pause captures a quiet moment suspended in time. Seen from above, light, water, and form merge into a shimmering tapestry of reflection. A wide-brimmed hat conceals the figure's face as sunlight dances across the surface, tracing ever-changing  patterns of light and shawdow.. 

The inspiration for this piece came from an extraordinary pairing of photographs: one taken years earlier by a professional photographer, the other captured decades later by the subject's young grandson from nearly the same perspective.  That unexpected conversation between generations became the foundation for this work

Created with colored pencil and airbrushed acrylic ink on archival paper, Pontet Pause explores the way memories evolve-never exactly the same, yet somehow familiar.  It is a meditation on time, perspective, and the quiet beauty found just beneath the surface. 

Pontet's Pause received an Honorable Mention in Teravarna's 9th Water Internatiional Juried Art Competition.
