Montauk Dunes was inspired by the quiet beauty of the windswept dunes of Montauk, New York-a landscape that has remained deeply woven into my life.  The gentle curves of the drifting sand, sparse beach grasses, and distant horizon capture the peaceful solitude that has drawn me back to this extraordinary place again and again.

Originally created for the Montauk Lighthouse Cookbook, a community project my mother helped bring to life through her volunteer work at the Montauk Lighthouse, the original pen and ink drawing used in the cookbook was a labor of love.  Softly airbrushed acrylic ink was later added to suggest the subtle light that settles over the dunes, preserving not only the landscape itself but also the memories and family connections it represents. 

Montauk Dunes received an Honorable Mention in the Grey Cube Gallery's Monochrome Exhibition.
