This limited edition giclée print faithfully reproduces the acrylic painting, airbrushing, and hand-cut collage. Hundreds of individually cut circular pieces from magazine pages were carefully layered, like scales on a fish, to create the figure's skin. That subtle texture and depth rewards close viewing while blending seamlessly into the composition from a distance.
Part of the acclaimed Women in the Water series, Floating was awarded an Honorable Mention in Teravarna's 9th Figurative International Online Juried Competition. It celebrates the restorative power of water and the quiet moments that allow us to reconnect with ourselves.
